This is the last track I worked on. I'm still trying to improve my production skills - a bit muddy still....any advice gratefully received.....maybe I should stick to the writing

So, I gave it a listen, and the first things that got me is the balance btw voice and backing track.

What I's suggest first is to look into the bass part of the backing track. Indeed the kick and bass seems a little bit low. Even on my cheap laptop speakers.

I have not judged the structure or lyrics of the track as I guess you were expecting a technical advise on the mix processing, weren't you ?
